Cartoons: Obama, Republicans, China, and Ted Cruz
Again, today's cartoons are an assortment of what caught my eye. The last cartoon made me guffaw.
Obama's Plan to overhaul of the nation’s immigration enforcement system may allow millions of immigrants to stay and work in U.S. says the New York Times. The Republicans are not pleased.
China and the United States agreed on Wednesday to new limits on carbon emissions starting in 2025, but there is little agreement on cybersecurity.
Top Republicans slammed the carbon emissions agreement.
If emissions aren't brought under control, this may happen.
Meanwhile, Ted Cruz will give us the recipe for net neutrality today in Austin at Capital Factory.

Cartoons: mostly about ISIS
Today's selection of cartoons include some observations about ISIS (vs. ISIL), PTSD, and climate change.
To keep up with news on ISIS and related topics, you may want to pin NBC News' ISIS Terror page in your browser. On the other hand you may want to opt out of watching the news on the grounds that it's just another way for the fear mongers to sell stuff.
A fair amount has been said about the U.S.'s continuing involvement in the Middle East and Africa. There's a collection of articles at the Economist that dig a little deeper, beginning with "Caliphornia dreamin’"(look for links to the other articles at the bottom of the page). BTW, PTSD is Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. (Had to look it up myself--funny, but perpetual sounds more right.)

Cartoons: the Pope has left the room
Don't know about you, but I was surprised to hear that Pope Benedict XVI resigned. For a possibly biased report on why, take a look at Michael D'Antonio's article "Immunity for Rome's Rottweiler: Why The Pope Resigned" at Huffington Post. An interesting news tidbit is this article -- "German cartoon predicted Pope’s resignation" from The [London] Times (aka Times Newspapers Limited).
